The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada is the major Canadian representative of the traditions of the Lutheran reformation of the catholic Christian church. This site contains a wealth of information about Lutheranism including the creeds we confess as Christians.

The Eastern Synod is one of five synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, consisting of 208 member congregations and 78,000 baptized members. The territory of the Eastern Synod runs from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Lutherans Connect is a place to come for discussion, reflection, socializing and, of course, fun. Designed for university/college/campus life people.

The Toronto Conference is a collection of congregations within the ELCIC. The Conference is part of the Eastern Synod of the ELCIC and covers a geographic area centered in Toronto extending north to Barrie east to Peterborough, and west to Oakville.

ELCIC worship, liturgy and spirituality resources. 

Edgewood Camp and Conference Centre is a year round ministry of the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC). During the summer, Edgewood offers child, youth, and adult camps, leadership training, etc.

A congregation of the ELCIC, Eastern Synod

A church in downtown Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Has been in use from 1842, built in classicist style at the site of the chapel of the Austrian Embassy, erected in 1742.  Apse decoration from 1865 when the church was officially consecrated at the 1000th anniversary of the death of St. Ansgar.

Built in 1892 at 112th Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan featuresThe Chapels of the Seven Tongues dedicated to immigrant groups.  St. Ansgar's Chapel is dedicated to those of Scandinavian descent. Built in 1918 and designed by Englishman Henry Vaughan who also was the original architect of Washington National Cathedral.  The architecture is reminiscent of fourteenth century English Gothic style.  St. Ansgar's has its own Aeolian-Skinner organ with 1,069 pipes.

St. Ansgar has been named the "Garden Spot of Iowa" and was founded in 1853 by a group of Norwegian immigrant farmers, led by a Danish minister.
